1. Petitioner is in custody for more than one year. He prays for bail.

2. Learned lawyer for the State opposes the bail prayer.

3. We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses and contemporaneous document i.e.

seizure memorandum shows recovery of 1.184 kgs. of Charos from the petitioner.

4. In view of the aforesaid facts and statutory restrictions under Section 37 of NDPS Act we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected.

6. We request the trial court to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date.
