In view of the contentions advanced in the writ petition, I direct the police authorities that, in case the estate officer of ECL files any complaint and as there was earlier, representation made in WPO No. 1253 of 2009, that police assistance would be rendered by the state in cases of eviction, the police authorities would act on the communication of the estate officer. If any case of trespass, house breaking is found on enquiry, in respect of any particular person, police will not deter from registering any case,

if on enquiry it finds that a cognizable offence is made out.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 26882 of 2024 is disposed of.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
