The petitioner is aggrieved that her application for transfer in one of the schools run by the West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited which has a due recognition from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has not been processed and is pending.

The schools have been established by the West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited for the benefit of the wards of their employees and also for other children of the area. The petitioner has been a teacher in the school since 2014 and had made successive applications seeking transfer from her place of posting in Sagardighi, fairly remote place in the State of West Bengal. Though successive applications were not considered, third of the set of the applications is under process and has not been disposed of as yet.

In view of the aforestated fact that the application has been pending for a long period of time since January 2025, I direct the concerned respondent (respondent no. 4 herein) to

immediately dispose of the application of the petitioner seeking transfer from Sagardighi keeping in mind the fact that the post in the subject of Botany is vacant in one of the schools situated at Bandel and the factum of the petitioner's medical ground which should be considered favourably by the authorities. 5.

Let such application of the petitioner be disposed of by June 15, 2026.

Upon consideration of the resultant order, it will be forwarded to the Director (H.R.), for due approval of the transfer, if so permitted.

With the afore-stated directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
