The petitioner no. 1 is the Librarian at Mrinalini Datta Mahavidyapith, Birati, Kolkata - 700 051. The petitioner no. 2 is also a Librarian at Susil Kar College, Ghoshpur, Champahati, District - 24 Parganas (South). The application of the petitioners for mutual transfer in the prescribed form is pending consideration before the Directorate of Public Instruction, Education Directorate, Government of West Bengal, the respondent no. 2 herein.

The petitioners are alleging that the said application could not attract the attention of the respondent no. 2 since 2022, they are praying disposal of the same.

The respondent no. 2 is directed to dispose of the said pending application of the petitioners for mutual transfer in accordance with law, if necessary after giving an opportunity of hearing to them as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

W.P.A. 26467 of 2025 is disposed of with the above observation without any order as to costs. Parties to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
