The petitioner complains of the alleged inaction on the part of the Ultadanga Police Station in intervening against the private respondent. It is alleged that the private respondent has obstructed and prevented water supply to the petitioner's premises. 2.

The report of the Executive Magistrate, Sealdah indicates that the petitioner wanted to shift the existing water tank to another place within the same premises that was objected to by the private respondent. 3.

This Court is of the view that the dispute between the petitioner and the private respondent is purely civil in nature. Ultadanga Police have no role to play in the matter.

Ultadanga Police shall, however, ensure that there is absolutely no breach of peace in the area and shall maintain strict vigil thereat.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
