Seeking a direction upon the respondents to issue proforma/prescribed form to the writ petitioner and to allow the petitioners to participate in the selection process scheduled to be held to fill up the post of Assistant Teachers in the primary schools in the district of Hooghly, the writ petition was preferred. The selection process was initiated in 2008.

I am of the view that by efflux of time, the writ petition has become infructuous.

Consequently, the writ petition is disposed of. Interim order passed earlier in the writ petition, stands vacated.
