1. The present writ petition has been filed, inter alia, praying for a direction upon the municipal authorities to prevent any further unauthorized and illegal construction at the holding No. 96 and 96/1 Sukanta Sarani ward No.
VII under Uttarpara-Kotrung municipality P.O. Bhadrakaliand P.S. Uttarpara. Although the writ petition does not disclose when the above illegal construction had commenced and a vague statement has been made, however, the learned advocate for the municipality who is present in Court has placed before this Court the copies of the proceedings initiated by the municipal authorities pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioners. Let a copy of the proceedings as placed before this Court be retained with the record.
2. The learned advocate for the municipality would submit that from the munities of the aforesaid
WPA 26383 of 2025 proceedings, it would transpire that the premises of the private respondent is a 70 years old building. He, however, is candid enough in submitting that no final order has till date been passed.
3. Having heard the learned advocate representing the respective parties and though ordinarily there was no scope to entertain the writ petition for failure on the part of the petitioners to disclose appropriate particulars, however, since the municipality has already initiated a proceedings, I am of the view the above proceedings should be brought to a logical conclusion as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of 8 weeks from the date of communication of this order.
4. With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
