The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher at Bamuniabar R.K. Primary School, a school under Egra East Circle of Purba Medinipur District Primary School Council.

The petitioner is the mother of a mentally retarded child. The school of the petitioner since is far away from her residence, the child is not getting the required care from mother.

A representation of the petitioner praying transfer on the said ground is pending consideration before the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education, the respondent no.4 herein.

The prayer of the petitioner for transfer appears to be justified.

The respondent no.4 therefore is directed to consider and dispose of the said representation as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

WPA 26820 of 2024 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
