We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner is a civic volunteer. It is alleged that he claimed to negotiate on behalf of an accused with the police administration.

In view of the position held by the petitioner and the nature of allegation, we are of the opinion custodial interrogation is necessary and this is not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to him. 5.
