The Inspector-in-charge, Contai Police Station has filed a report dated 7th February, 2023 in the form of instructions addressed to the Government Pleader, High Court, Calcutta. The same is taken on record. It is submitted by the Contai Police Station that the petitioner and his family members have returned to their residence.

The Inspector-in-charge, Contai Police Station shall maintain a regular vigil on the said premises to ensure that the petitioner and his family members are able to live there in peace.

In respect of the charge-sheets referred to in the order dated 25th January, 2023, if the petitioner is not satisfied with the charge-sheets referred to in the order dated 25th January, 2023, he may take steps in accordance with law before the Jurisdictional Magistrate, inter alia, under Section 173(8) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
