Counsel for the petitioner submits that he has made a fresh application for holding a political gathering at Diamond Harbour Light House Ground, which is known as Diamond Harbour LORAN C Station land, under the Diamond Harbour Police Station.

The Diamond Harbour Police have no objection to holding of such gathering. Permission has also been granted by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. In those circumstances, the petitioner may hold gathering on the aforesaid venue on 3rd December, 2022. Gathering shall be held subject to noise pollution norms and without causing any inconvenience to the public at large.

The writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
