The petitioner says that he has been falsely implicated. He is a daily labourer by occupation. He has no connection with the alleged contraband items. He is in custody since June 19, 2024. He prays for bail.

Learned State Advocate says that the consignment of contraband items, i.e., 4.095 kgs of morphine, was recovered from a parcel sent from Nagaland by India Post to Berhampore. It has been ascertained that the sender of the parcel is this petitioner. This petitioner's bank account had been credited with huge sums of money contemporaneously and the petitioner's bank account shows credit balance of over rupees one crore.

In view of the aforesaid, there is prima facie sufficient incriminating material against this petitioner. Therefore, we are not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.

CRM (NDPS) 1760 of 2024 is, thus, dismissed.

However, we request the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial to the fullest extent possible and conclude the same as soon as it can.
