Allowed report. Let the same be kept with the record. It has been submitted that the petitioner is in custody for 8 years 6 months and only 2 witnesses have been examined out of cited 8 witnesses.

Having considered that the petitioner is in custody for substantial period of time and there is no scope of the trial being concluded in near future as earlier directions of this Court was ignored, I am of the view, under such circumstances, petitioner is entitled to be released on bail.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed. The petitioner, namely, Mosaraf Laskar @ Raju shall be

released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- each, one of whom must be local to the satisfaction of the learned CJM, Barasat. If on bail, the petitioner shall be physically present on each and every date before the learned trial court and shall not leave the district of 24 Parganas (North) without prior permission of the learned trial court. Petitioner shall inform his address where he would be staying and till the completion of the trial once in every fortnight meet with the Inspector-in-Charge of the local police station.

Accordingly, CRM(M) 2446 of 2025 is allowed.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
