Affidavit-of-service is taken on record. Despite service, none appears on behalf of the respondent Nos.9 and 10.

As the Court is not inclined to pass mandatory directions as prayed for in the writ petition but deems it fit to remit the matter to the authorities, the writ petition is taken up in their absence.

The petitioners allege that the candidates who were selected as Anganwadi Workers had suppressed their bachelors' degree. The allegation is that in view of the bar imposed by the memorandum relating to the selection process, a candidate who had a graduate degree could not participate in the process and could not continue in service.

The Block Medical Officer of Health, Kanchanpur, District-Bankura, shall treat the writ petition as a representation of the petitioners and dispose of the same in accordance with law. A reasoned order shall be passed after hearing the petitioners as also the respondent Nos.9 and 10 and any other interested party. The order shall be communicated to all concerned.

The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. A copy of the writ petition along with a server copy of this order, be served upon the Block Medical Officer of Health, Kanchanpur, District-Bankura.

The writ petition is, thus, disposed of. The Court has not gone into the merits of the allegations.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
