Heard learned counsels for the parties.

The grievance of the petitioners is that the State respondents are in the process of acquiring a portion of the land of the petitioners for the purpose of construction of National Highway in such a manner that residual portion of the plot in question shall become unutilisable. The petitioners submitted a representation before the concerned authority requesting the latter to shift the alignment of the road so that the petitioners are in a position to utilise the remaining portion of their land. Though the petitioners were called for a hearing by the authority and the hearing was conducted, no further communication has been made to the petitioners in regard to their representation. The petitioners pray for a direction upon the authority to consider their representation and communicate a reasoned order to them within a stipulated time frame.

It is submitted on behalf of the State respondents that the 2nd respondent be directed to dispose of the application pending before him in accordance with law and communicate the order to the petitioners.

In view of the above, the writ petition being WPA 26584 of 2022 is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioners before the authority by a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioners within a month from the date of communication of this order. There shall however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
