The petitioners allege contempt of the order dated August 1, 2022 passed in WPA 450 of 2019. Relevant portion of the order is quoted below:- "It appears that on an earlier occasion by an order dated January 18, 2019, the concerned Block Land & Land Reforms Officer was directed to prepare a site plan and demarcate the land of the petitioners. Thus, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the concerned Block Land & Land Reforms Officer to comply with the order passed on January 18, 2019, by this court, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from date. This court has not entertained the writ petition on any of the grounds, as the question of police inaction does not appear to be correct."

Today, Mr. Bari, learned advocate for the alleged contemnors has handed over a bunch of documents which contains the report of the Block Land and Land Reforms Officer, the sketch map, the demarcation plan, site plan, etc. The same are taken on record. Copy of the same has been handed over to the learned advocate for the applicant. The report records that certain portions of the petitioners' land had suffered damage due to construction of

the road. The petitioners contend that certain portions have also been utilized. These disputes cannot be decided in this proceeding. The Court records sufficient compliance of the order and grants liberty to the petitioners to avail of all other remedies as permissible in law.

Accordingly, the contempt application is disposed of. Contempt proceedings are dropped.

Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
