Petitioner is in custody for 126 days. It is submitted investigation is complete. He prays for bail. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Housewife was tortured at the matrimonial home. She committed suicide within four months of marriage. Bail prayer of one Tapas Sarkar, father-in-law of the victim-housewife was turned down on merits. Petitioner stands on the same footing with the said accused.

Hence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
