The petitioner claims to be a member of reserved category. She participated in the 2025 recruitment process initiated by the West Bengal Central School Service Commission.

Allegation is that the Commission treated the candidature of the petitioner in the General category despite the petitioner disclosing her reserved category status and paid fees meant for the reserved category candidate.

Reliance has been placed on the judgment delivered by this Bench on 27th November, 2025 in
WPA 26937 of 2025 (Somnath Pramanik & Ors. v. The State of West Bengal & Ors.).

Prayer has been made to direct the West Bengal Central School Service Commission to treat the petitioner's candidature in the reserved category. 5.
Submission of the petitioner is opposed by the respondents.

As the issue in the instant writ petition has been answered by the Court in the matter of Somnath Pramanik (supra), accordingly, the same direction passed in the matter of Somnath Pramanik (supra) is passed herein.

The Commission is directed to treat the petitioner in the reserved category, subject to verification of the reservation certificate.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
9.
All parties shall act on the basis of a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities.
