1. Learned Counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner is only nineteen years of age and his case ought to be treated leniently for the purpose of bail. Further, due to institutional laches, the charges have not yet been framed.

2. The prayer for bail is opposed by the State.

3. Learned Counsel for the State argues that the next date fixed for framing of charges is December 3, 2023.

4. Upon hearing learned Counsel for the parties, we do not find anything gross against the respondent authorities and/or the search and seizure process to overcome the rigour of Section 37 of the N.D.P.S.Act.

5. Hence, CRM (NDPS) 1782 of 2023 is dismissed.

6. It is expected, however, that the trial court shall complete the trial as expeditiously as possible, preferably within one year from date. (Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya, J.) (Partha Sarathi Chatterjee, J.)
