Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 546 days and although the charge-sheet was submitted on 22.05.2025, there has been no progress in the case.

On the other hand learned advocate appearing for the State submits that one of the accused person was absconding and he has surrendered on 12.11.2025 and next date is fixed on 01.12.2025.

Having considered that the progress of the case has been delayed because of co-accused fleeing away from the process of law, at this stage I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Consequently, CRM (M) 2448 of 2025 is rejected at this stage.

All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
