Singhal ... for the Petitioner(s) Mr. Bitasok Banerjee Mr. Dattatreya Dutta ... for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioners submit that the petitioners are in custody since 3rd August, 2025 and they have been falsely implicated in connection with the instant case. The prosecution has relied upon 16 witnesses and the evidence of the P.W.1 has commenced, as such, learned advocate for the petitioners submits that as there is no possibility of the trial being concluded in the near future, the petitioners may be enlarged on bail.

Learned advocate for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail.

I have taken into account the evidence which is appearing in the case diary; on an assessment of the same and considering the complicity of the respective petitioners,

I am inclined to grant bail to the Petitioner no.2 [Kanon Khan].

So far as the petitioner no.1 [Manik Khan] is concerned, his prayer for bail is Rejected.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the Petitioner no.2 is Allowed.

Accordingly, the Petitioner no.2 viz, Kanon Khan shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand only), with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned ACJM, Alipore.

If on bail, the petitioner no.2 shall also make herself physically available on each and every date so fixed by the learned trial court and shall not leave the district of South 24 Parganas without prior intimation to the learned trial court.

Accordingly, CRM (M) 2445 of 2025 is Partly allowed.
