The subject matter of the case relate to seizure of 24.984 kgs. of ganja.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that he was arrested on 16.05.2025 and even after submission of the charge-sheet, charge has not been framed. Learned advocate for the State submits that the chargesheet has already been submitted, petitioner is the sole accused and there is every possibility of the petitioner fleeing away from the process of law, in view of the commercial quantity recovered from the possession of the petitioner. Be that as it may, prosecution intends to rely upon 15 witnesses in order to prove its case. Having considered that

there is no possibility of the trial being concluded in near future. However, also taking into account that the petitioner is in custody for seven months and charge is to be framed on the next date so fixed, I direct the learned trial Court to release the petitioner on bail after the stage of consideration of charges are over on such terms and conditions as he deems fit and proper. With the aforesaid observations CRM (NDPS) 1504 of 2025 is disposed of All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
