The father of the petitioner was a confirmed Assistant Teacher at Harinan Primary School, Mahisadal Circle under Purba Medinipur District Primary School Council.

The mother of the petitioner, after the death of the father, was receiving family pension and after her death, the petitioner, being the disabled son of the deceased teacher, is receiving the family pension; he is alleging that the family pension was not paid to her mother for the period from April 08, 2004 to March 04, 2020.

The petitioner has a pending representation before the District Inspector of Schools, Tamluk (PE), the respondent no.3 herein praying disbursement of the arrear pension for the said period with interest; the said representation is appearing at page 26 of the writ petition. The respondent no.3 is directed to consider the said representation in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.

The petitioner since has approached the authorities belatedly, he is not entitled to interest on the arrear pension even if it is found to be payable.

No affidavit since has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

WPA 27008 of 2024 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
