The present revisional application was preferred challenging the proceedings arising out of Lake Town Police Station Case No. 35 of 2023 dated 25-02-2023 under Sections 498A/506/34 IPC. During the pendency of the present revisional application it was submitted that the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement. Accordingly, a report was called for from the Officer-in-Charge of the concerned Police Station.

Mr. Datta, learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the opposite party no.2 has given a declaration and also made a statement to the recording officer wherein she has expressed that she do not intend to proceed further with Lake Town P. S. Case No. 35 of 2023.

Having regard to the fact that the present case arose out of

matrimonial discord, I am of the view that as amicable settlement has been arrived at between the parties, further continuance of the proceeding would in result harassment for both the parties. Accordingly, all further proceedings arising out of Lake Town P. S. Case No. 35 of 2023 dated 25-02-2023 including the chargesheet submitted before the learned A.C.J.M, Bidhannagar is hereby quashed.

Consequently, the revisional application being CRR 4415 of 2023 along with CRAN 1 of 2023 is allowed.

Pending any other applications, if any, are consequently disposed of.
