Report filed by the Hooghly Zilla Parishad be taken on record. It appears therefrom that the final bill of the petitioner could not be prepared because of insufficiency of documents and/or proof of dismantling the Borobandh.

Further, the concerned officer dealing with the matter has retired and as the job was done during the COVID-19 period, accordingly, the authority does not have sufficient documents available readily. The respondents request the cooperation of the petitioner by providing documents in support of the claim.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the petitioner to forward all documents in support of his claim to the sixth respondent.

On receipt of such documents from the petitioner, the said respondent shall verify the same. If required, an opportunity of hearing may be given to the petitioner for the purpose of scrutiny and

verification of the bills and other supporting documents to be submitted by the petitioner.

If the claim of the petitioner appears to be admitted, then necessary steps for releasing payment shall be taken.

If the bills are disputed, the reasons therefor shall be intimated to the petitioner forthwith.

7.

Steps shall be taken by the sixth respondent at the earliest, but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of all documents from the petitioner.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

9.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
