Commercial quantity of phensedyl syrup containing codeine phosphate was recovered from the possession of this petitioner. Keeping in mind the restrictions in Section 37 of the NDPS Act, we are not inclined to allow this application for bail.

The prayer for bail is rejected.

CRM (NDPS) 1779 of 2024 is dismissed.

The petitioner says that he is in custody for more than one year and nine months. Only 3 out of 17 charge sheet named witnesses remain to be examined.

Considering the prolonged detention of the petitioner in judicial custody, we request the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial and conclude the same on an early date.
