Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that 64.87 grams of cocaine was allegedly recovered from a transhipment in a courier for which both the petitioners have been implicated in connection with the instant case. As the complaint has already been submitted before the jurisdictional court, petitioners pray for bail on any stringent condition.

Learned advocate appearing for the DRI, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the racket involved is jeopardizing the society by such transshipment of narcotics and/or contraband materials. Be that as it may, having regard to the period of detention of the present petitioners as also the fact that the

investigation has been concluded after submission of the complaint, I am of the view that further detention of the present petitioners is unwarranted. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioners is allowed.

Accordingly, the petitioners viz., 1. Sanu Khan and 2. Md. Mehfuz alias Shri Md. Mehfoz Haiyat alias Mohd. Mehfuz shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/- each, with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned Special Court under the NDPS Act-cum-Additional Sessions Judge, 8th Court, Barasat.

If on bail, the petitioners shall be physically present on each and every date so fixed by the learned Special Court and shall not leave the jurisdiction of the district of North 24-Parganas and Kolkata without prior permission of the learned Special Court.

The application for bail, being CRM (NDPS) 1505 of 2025, is, thus, disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
