The petitioner retired from service on August 31, 2019. Prior to his retirement, he was directed to deposit certain sum of money on account of overdrawn salary which the petitioner did by way of treasury challan on November 11, 2019. The pension payment order was issued on June 10, 2020. The instant writ petition has been filed on November 10, 2025 with a prayer for refund of the alleged overdrawn amount.

On a perusal of the writ petition, it appears that no explanation has been mentioned as to why the petitioner approached this Court after more than seven years of retirement. The delay in the instant case has to be taken as fatal and no relief can be granted to the petitioner.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. 4.
