The petitioner has filed the present application praying for a direction upon the learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Contai for expeditious disposal of the criminal case being G.R. (E) Case No.1255 of 2020 in connection with Egra P.S. Case No.652 of 2020 dated December 17, 2020 under Sections 341/325/323/354/379/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code. This Court finds that the police at Egra PS has initiated an FIR being FIR No.652 of 2020 on December 17, 2020. The police has completed the investigation and charge-sheet has been filed on June 18, 2021. Learned counsel for the petitioner submit that till date charge has not been framed and the case is pending since the year 2020.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Magistrate, 2nd Court at Contai is directed to dispose of the criminal trial in connection with G.R.

(E) Case No.1255 of 2020 in connection with Egra P.S. Case No.652 of 2020, as early as possible, preferably within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of this order. With the aforesaid observations, CRR No.4789 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be furnished to the parties, at an early date upon completion of usual formalities.
