Despite service none appears on behalf of the respondents. No police report is available.
The petitioner alleges that the Officer-inCharge, Rabindra Sarabor Police Station has failed and neglected to act on the complaint filed by the petitioner. The petitioner is aged about 82 years. She alleges that the respondent no. 4 physically and mentally tortured her. The petitioner is a widow. The son of the petitioner has special needs. The allegation is that the respondent no. 4 tried to oust the petitioner from the joint property after the husband of the petitioner passed away. Allegation of verbal abuse, misappropriation, intimidation and trespass have been made.
It appears from the records that the police authorities have remained silent from 2017. The original jurisdictional police station was Lake Police
Station. Thereafter the Rabindra Sarabor Police Station, attained jurisdiction.
The Officer-in-Charge, Rabindra Sarabor Police Station was also approached time and again by the petitioner and all the representations to the Officerin-Charge, Rabindra Sarabor Police Station as also to the Commissioner of Police, Kolkata have been annexed to the writ petition.
Under such circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Officer-inCharge, Rabindra Sarabor Police Station to take necessary steps as the investigating agency deems it fit and proper and in accordance with law by disposing of the complaints lodged by the petitioner. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) shall ensure compliance of this order.
This court has not gone into the merits of the allegation of the petitioner and leaves the same for determination by the investigating agency.
The writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
