Mr. Swagata Datta ...for the petitioner The petitioner complains of inaction by Namkhana Police Station. A complaint dated 17.01.2023 has been placed before this Court.

This Court is of the view that the complaint is vague and devoid of any specific fact indicating any cognizable offence.

In the aforesaid circumstances, no relief can be granted to the petitioner.

The petitioner may, however, file a comprehensive complaint before the concerned police station. If such complaint discloses such cognizable offence, the police shall cause enquiries and then register FIR. Notice under Section 41A of the Cr. P. C. shall be issued. The report of the Frezerganj Coastal Police Station dated 20.01.2023 is taken on record.

The writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
