Banerjee ...for the Municipality It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that Death Certificate has been issued to her client. It is submitted that the address of the deceased mentioned therein is wrong. The Kamarhati Municipality cannot be blamed for the same since it was issued based on the certificate of the Superintendent, Sagar Dutta Medical College and Hospital, being respondent no. 6.

In those circumstances, the Superintendent of Sagar Dutta Medical College and Hospital, respondent no. 6, shall, within a period of 2 weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order, rectify the address of the deceased upon production of authentic document in that regard by the petitioner.

Upon receipt of corrected documents from the said respondent no. 6, the Chairman, Kamarhati Municipality shall rectify the Death

Certificate and issue the same afresh, expeditiously.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
