Petitioners are aggrieved by the fact that windows as well as verandah of the residence are being blocked by hoarding.

To that effect, information was furnished to the police authorities, but no steps have been taken either by the police authorities or by the Municipality.

Petitioners would be at liberty to take out an application before the municipality concerned in respect of removal of hoarding which has been fixed.

The municipality obviously would consider the genuinity of the accusations as well as with regard to the contentions of the petitioners regarding the windows and the verandah being blocked thereby jeopardizing their peaceful enjoyment of the property.

In case assistance of the police authorities is required for violation of law and order, police authorities would extend the support to the municipal authorities for carrying out the action.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 27085 of 2024 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
