Learned advocate for the petitioner is aggrieved that in spite of informing the police authorities, no action has been taken and the petitioner is subjected to mental torture as he is threatened at the behest of the private respondents. Earlier, a report in the form of affidavit has been submitted on behalf of the Officer-in-Charge, Haripal Police Station. Prima facie, it reflects from the report that the genesis of the dispute is relating to land. On information being furnished Haripal P.S. Case No.495 of 2023 was registered for investigation. Notices were issued.

Having regard to the fact that the police has taken steps, I am of the view that at the relevant point of time police acted adhering to the provisions of law. If there are further issues in relation to maintenance

of law and order, police authorities would keep a strict vigil and ensure that no breach of peace takes place.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 25846 of 2023 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
