This writ petition is filed in the year 2010. The counsel for the State respondent appeared on 5.1.2010 and this Court passed direction for filing affidavits. Thereafter, the matter was listed on 23.3.2021 and 20.04.2021 but none appeared on behalf of the petitioner.

In terms of the order passed by this Court dated 23rd March 2021, the counsel for the respondent nos. 4, 5 and 6 informed the counsel for the petitioner about the date of hearing, but in spite of service of notice none appeared.

Again on 23rd March, 2021, the counsel for the respondent served notice upon the counsel for the petitioner but in spite of service of notice, none appeared. The counsel for the respondent again sent a notice to the petitioner as well as learned advocate on record on 22nd April, 2021.

The learned advocate on record of the petitioner has received notice but has not appeared.

As per the report of the postal department in respect of service of notice upon the petitioner, it is reported 'deceased'.

As per the report of the postal authority, it reveals that the petitioner is no more.

The counsel for the respondent nos.4, 5 and 6 submitted that due to pendency of the writ petition, the recruitment process for the post of Clerk is pending and the respondents are not in a position to fill up the said post.

As per the report of postal authority, the petitioner expired and no steps have been taken on behalf of the petitioner. In the circumstances the writ petition is abated and no further order can be passed. WPA 21608 of 2009 is thus dismissed.

Urgent photostat certifiued copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties on compliance of necessary formalities.
