Heard the learned Advocates for the parties.

We have considered the materials on record. Though petitioner contends one of their associates had died, we note injury inflicted on the victim is grievous and the latter had been hospitalized. Statements of witnesses implicate the petitioner in the assault. 3.

In view of gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
