1. The present writ application has been preferred by the writ petitioners praying:- (a) For direction upon the respondents not to give effect to Memo No. 2021-SWD dated 23.05.2011.
(b) Directing the respondents not to cancel the appointment of the petitioners which has already been given under Memo No.882-SWD issued by the Additional Director of Social Welfare, Government of West Bengal dated 25.02.2011.
(c) and other reliefs.
2. Learned counsel for the State has placed the relevant Government Order dated 5th January, 2012.
3. From the said Memo, it appears that the embargo imposed by the Government of West Bengal for the posts-inquestion has now been lifted in view of the memo dated 5th January, 2012, issued by the Joint Secretary to the Government of West Bengal, addressed to the District Magistrate, North 24-Parganas.
4. In such circumstances, this Court directs the District Magistrate, North 24-Parganas, to issue necessary directions upon the concerned Child Development Project Officers, in the light of the said memo dated 5th January, 2012. The concerned authority shall complete the entire exercise, in terms of the memo dated 5th January, 2012, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks, but not later than eight weeks from the date of communication of a photostat certified copy of this order.
5. The writ petition being WPA 22914 of 2012 stands disposed of accordingly.
6. All connected applications, if any stand disposed of.
7. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
8. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this judgment, if applied for, be supplied to the parties as expeditiously after due compliance.
