...for the respondent nos. 9 to 13, 15 to 19, 21 to 29 and 31 The grievance of the petitioners is directed against the notice dated November 07, 2024 issued under Rules 17(6)(c) of the West Bengal Panchayat (Constitution) Rules, 1975.

Briefly the petitioners challenge the impugned notice convening a meeting, which is scheduled to be held on December 14, 2024, for consideration of a motion for their removal from the post of nine Sthayee Samities.

By an interim order dated November 13, 2014, this Court had refused to grant an order of stay in respect of the proposed meeting.

Being aggrieved by the ad interim order dated November 13, 2024, the petitioners had preferred an appeal, which was dismissed upon hearing all the parties.

It is submitted that the nine Sthayee Samities have subsequently been formed and constituted. Accordingly, the writ petition has become infructuous.

In view of the above order and the subsequent events which have transpired after the filing of the writ petition, the writ petition become purely academic and infructuous.

In view of the above, W.P.A. No. 27112 of 2024 stands disposed of in view of the above orders and subsequent events. The interim order stands confirmed.

There will be no order as to costs.
