1. The petitioner having been granted permission for issuance of permit in his favour by the Board, State Transport Authority, West Bengal and he having produced the vehicle along with fees before the authorities, is now aggrieved that no permit has yet been granted by him

2. Mr. Sattwik Bhattacharyya, learned counsel for the petitioner as well as Mr. Pantu Deb Roy, learned Additional Government Pleader for the State are present respectively.

3. According to the report of the Secretary State Transport Authority, West Bengal dated April 11, 2025, though the permit is to be issued to the writ petitioner, the same could not have been done due to the order of restraint passed by this Court earlier in this case.

4. Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case and the report submitted by the respondent Authority, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the Secretary, State Transport Authority, West

Bengal/respondent no. 2 ( c) to immediately issue permit in favour of the writ petitioner, within a maximum period of three weeks from the date of communication of copy of this order, subject to compliance of all statutory formalities by the writ petitioner.

5. Resolution of the Board dated September 20, 2024 vide Agenda No. 34, be set aside.

6. With the directions as above, the instant writ petition is disposed of, interim order, if any, stands vacated.

7. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
