Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

Petitioner participated in the selection process for being appointed as Constable GD in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

During Physical Standard Test height of the petitioner was measured 169.2 cm which is below the requisite height i.e. 170 cm.

Though there was an appeal provision same was not availed of by the petitioner at the material point of time. However, representations were made before the respondent authority for re-measurement of height of the petitioner. It is submitted that remeasurement is yet to be taken. 5.

Union of India is represented by learned advocate who has opposed this writ petition as time to file appeal is over and at present appellate authority is not available.

Having considered the submissions made on behalf of the parties and taking note of the fact that representation was made vide email letter dated 6th September, 2025 before the concerned respondent authority, petitioner's height needs to be remeasured by the concerned authority. 7.

Accordingly, Inspector General, Central Reserve Police Force being respondent no.7 is directed to take re-measurement of height of the petitioner by fortnight from date and the outcome of such remeasurement shall be communicated to the petitioner by seven days thereafter.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

10. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the learned Advocates for the parties on the usual undertakings.
