1. Heard learned lawyers for the parties.

2. We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses including the injured witness disclose involvement of the petitioner in the assault. One of the injured witnesses died. In view of the gravity of offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

3. Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected.
