1. None appears for the private respondents.
2. Learned Advocate appearing for the State respondents hands up to the Court a copy of an order dated "30.01.2025" (sic January 30, 2026) passed by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Sadar, Nadia and submits that the said Sub-Divisional Magistrate had initiated proceedings under the West Bengal Public Land (Eviction of Unauthorized Occupants) Act, 1962 and has ultimately passed an order under Section 4(1) of the said Act of 1962. It is further submitted that a copy of the said order has already been forwarded to the respondent no.9 herein under the cover of a letter dated February 02, 2026. A copy of the said letter as well as the order dated "30.01.2025" (sic January 30, 2026) handed up to the Court are taken on record. A copy of the letter as well as the said order shall also be made
over to the learned Advocate for the petitioner in course of this day.
3. In view of the fact that proceedings under the said Act of 1962 have been initiated and concluded by passing an order of eviction on "30.01.2025" (sic January 30, 2026), the writ petitioner's grievance as regards inaction of the respondent State Authorities seems to have been redressed. However, the respondent no.3 shall take appropriate steps to ensure implementation of the said order dated "30.01.2025" (sic January 30, 2026) passed by the said authority in accordance with law, unless the same is stayed by an appropriate authority/Court of law in appropriate proceedings.
4. WPA 26852 of 2025 stands disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
5. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
