Since the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of DV Act 7 of 2020 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Court, Sealdah, the matter may be taken up for consideration without service of notice upon the opposite parties. The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the matter. This Court is informed that the matter is pending since 2020 and witness action is in progress.

In view of the above, the learned trial Court is directed to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion within six months from the next date of hearing fixed before him, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law. CRR 4801 of 2024 is disposed of.
