The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition being aggrieved by the non-grant of electricity connection by the respondent no. 2. It is the case of the petitioner that he has applied for the electricity connection for submersible pump for carrying out agricultural activities. It is further stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that he has deposited the quotation amount as demanded by the respondent on 19th July, 2024. Despite the same, the respondent authority has failed to grant electricity connection to the petitioner. Learned counsel for the respondent states that there is standing crops in the field wherein the petitioner is seeking installation of electricity connection.

He further states that electricity connection will be granted to the Petitioner after a period of six weeks once the harvesting season is over, subject to the petitioner complying with all the necessary formalities.

In view of the statement made by the learned counsel for the respondent, this court deems it

appropriate to dispose of the present writ petition by directing the respondent authority to process the petitioner's application for grant of electricity connection within a period of eight weeks subject to the petitioner complying with all the necessary formalities.

With the above direction, the present writ petition stands disposed of without any order as to costs.
