The petitioner retired from service on December 31, 2019. Prior to his retirement, he was directed to deposit certain sum of money on account of overdrawn salary which the petitioner did by way of treasury challan on January 20, 2020. The pension payment order was issued on June 25, 2020. The instant writ petition has been filed on November 20, 2025 with a prayer for refund of the alleged overdrawn amount.

On a perusal of the writ petition, it appears that no explanation has been given as to why the petitioner approached this Court nearly six years after retirement. The delay in the instant case has to be taken as fatal and no relief can be granted to the petitioner.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. 4.
