1. Heard learned advocate for the appellant. The order of the writ court under appeal is an order dated 19.11.2025 refusing to extend an interim relief granted to the petitioner on 03.10.2025.

The brief background is that the petitioner is objecting to continuance of his posting as Field Assistant, North Eastern Zonal Office of the Raja Ram Mohan Roy Library Foundation ('RRRLF' in short) at Gouhati, Assam and he wants to be transferred from that place and permanently be posted at the Head Office at Kolkata.

3. The petitioner raised an issue regarding there being a threat perception at his current place of posting, considering which the Hon'ble Single Judge directed interim protection vide order

dated 03.10.2025, which continued till 17.11.2025.

Thereafter, when matter was taken up on 19.11.2025, report of the police authorities was examined by the Hon'ble Single Judge which, after due consideration of the report, decided not to extend the interim order. It is this order of the Hon'ble Single Judge, which is the subject matter of the present appeal.

5. The substantial issue is still pending before the learned Single Judge in the writ proceeding.

6. After making some arguments, regarding the communication of the Assistant Commissioner of Police (HQ), Central Police District, Gauhati brought on record by the Dy.

Director (Administration and Accounts) RRRLF, the learned advocate for the appellant submits that a direction be issued to the trial court to expedite the hearing of the writ petition in the coming week.

7. We find that the Hon'ble Single Judge after considering the entire issue refused the prayer to extend the interim order dated 03.10.2025 and posted the matter to be listed in January, 2026.

8. Under these circumstances, if at all there is a cause of an urgent hearing, it is open to the petitioner to avail appropriate remedies before the writ court in the pending matters. There is no occasion for this court to issue any direction for urgent hearing of the writ petition pending before the Hon'ble Single Judge.

9. Accordingly, the appeal is disposed of.

Since the appeal is disposed of all connected applications stand disposed of.
