Case No.437 of 2019 dated 24.10.2019 under Sections 6/8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (Corresponding to ST Case No.04(1) of 2020) and charge sheet has been submitted being Charge Sheet No.501 of 2019 dated 15.11.2019 under Sections 376AB of the Indian Penal Code and read with Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.

And In the matter of: Pappu Banik ....petitioner.

Mr. Dipanjan Chatterjee Ms. Busra Khatun ...for the petitioner.

Mr. Bidyut Kumar Roy Ms. Rita Datta ... for the State.

Petitioner renews the prayer for bail.

The trial is in progress.

The earlier order of rejection is dated December 23, 2021. At this stage, enlarging the petitioner on bail may resonate on the trial itself, prejudicing it. In such circumstances, we are not minded to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

We, however, request the learned Trial Judge to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible and invoke provisions of Section 309 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. He is also requested not to grant any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties.

C.R.M. (DB) 4383 of 2023 is dismissed.
