For the State Petitioner is the wife of the respondent no. 10 who is an active member of the ruling dispensation. The respondent no. 8 is the local councilor and the respondent no. 9 is the Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police, Baranagar Police Station.

The petitioner alleges that the private respondents are committing heinous offences against her.

Complaint lodged before the police and the West Bengal Human Rights Commission have not been responded.

It has been admitted that a matrimonial dispute is pending consideration in the learned Court below. Learned advocate representing the State respondents submits, upon instruction that, steps have been taken pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioner.

Upon hearing the parties and upon perusal of the documents annexed to the writ petition, the Court directs the Commissioner of Barrackpore Police Commissionerate through the Officer-in-Charge of Baranagar Police Station to consider the objection filed by the petitioner in accordance with law and to take steps to protect the life and property of the petitioner.

It will be open for the petitioner to approach the learned Court below for further relief.

Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the representation dated 03.11.2023 to the aforesaid respondents at the time of communicating the order of the Court.

The writ petition is disposed of.
