From the report forwarded by the Additional Director for Health Services (Mental Health), Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal signed on February 4, 2025, it appears that the Kolkata Municipal Corporation Mental Health Review Board is functional within the Kolkata Municipal Corporation area. The jurisdiction of R.G. Kar Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata falls under the Kolkata Municipal Corporation area.

Hence, Kolkata Municipal Corporation Mental Health Review Board is directed to assess the mental health of the daughter of the first petitioner.

Learned advocate for the petitioners is directed to forward all medical documents of the patient to the Kolkata Municipal Corporation Mental Health Review Board constituted under the Mental Health Care Act, 2017 for acting in compliance of the order passed hereinabove.

The Review Board shall take steps in the matter at

the earliest but positively within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
