... petitioner Mr. Tapodip Gupta Mr. Suman Bhanja ... for the petitioner Mr. Imran Ali Ms. Smita Saha ... for the State Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. The other co-accused were granted anticipatory bail by the Sessions Court while the petitioner's prayer was rejected. A chargesheet has been submitted. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits that there are four injured witnesses who have taken the names of the petitioner and others as the assailants. In the FIR, the petitioner's role has been specifically mentioned. As per the injury reports, one of the victims has suffered fracture injuries to the third and fourth ribs and other injuries were inflicted upon three other victims. The petitioner has been absconding for the last one and a half years.

Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail. The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of requisite formalities.
